Güerrín was the one spot I knew I had to visit. Every time I researched places to eat in Buenos Aires, Güerrín was at the top of the list. I already knew exactly what I wanted to order, and I was really looking forward to sharing the experience with my family.

Güerrín - Storefront

The restaurant is located on a busy street that definitely has New York City vibes. We managed to get seated inside right away—I think we lucked out and beat the afternoon rush. The place has a classic Italian restaurant feel and was absolutely packed with people.

Güerrín - Vibes

We started with a pie topped with red peppers, green olives, and anchovies. I’ll be honest: I am not a fan of anchovies on pizza, but my mother loves them and had really been missing them, so we ordered it for her. It was good and very cheesy, but that strong, salty anchovy flavor just isn’t for me. I’m glad I tried it, but it definitely didn’t change my mind about anchovies!

The Fugazzetta, however, was the pie I was looking forward to most. It’s a stuffed pizza topped with a mountain of onions and filled with ham and mozzarella. The cheese was just oozing out everywhere. It was incredible, and washing it down with a cold Coca-Cola was the perfect pairing. Just a heads-up: this is a very heavy slice. Two slices are honestly all you need.
