After the New York Knicks parade and hours on my feet, my friend and I were starving. We decided to find some pizza anywhere on Bleecker St., so I did a quick search and found Grandma’s One Pizza just a few blocks away. The ratings were high, and the photos of the grandma slices looked fantastic, so we decided to give it a try.

Once we walked in, we were greeted by a display case filled with grandma pies, with the register at the end. Every pie looked delicious, but I ultimately decided on a slice of the Three Color Grandma and the Spicy Honey Pepperoni Grandma.

After the slices were heated up, we grabbed one of the window seats. The pizza looked amazing—aesthetically pleasing and exactly what I needed after a long, tiring day. These grandma slices were perfect; they weren’t overly thick like a heavy Sicilian slice, keeping them light and crispy.

The Three Color slice features robust tomato sauce, creamy vodka sauce, and fresh green pesto—hence the name—and it tasted incredible. The flavors balanced perfectly on that crispy, light crust.

The Spicy Honey Pepperoni was just as good as it sounds. The crust had the same perfect consistency as the Three Color slice, holding all the ingredients together with zero flop. Naturally, I washed it all down with an ice-cold can of Coca-Cola.

Overall, I had a great experience. From waking up early for the Knicks parade to enjoying the lively atmosphere, ending the day with an awesome meal at Grandma’s One Pizza was the perfect way to satisfy my hunger. If you’re a fan of grandma pies, or if the line at John’s of Bleecker Street is too long, I highly recommend stopping by.
