My family and I have been going to Jerry’s for the past few years, ever since we started taking our annual family beach trip down the shore. I first found this spot through Google and Yelp when my brother and I were looking for a place to grab sandwiches for the beach. The reviews and pictures convinced me to give it a try, and we’ve been coming back ever since.

The place is in the corner of the street, which you can easily miss when you go through a mini round-about. There are plenty of street parking and they also have outdoor seating.

Jerry’s also sells pizzas and some baked goods which I have not tried but looks good.

I have gotten all types of hero sandwiches here, from chicken cutlet to roast beef but my favorite is the Italian sub (14″ whole) with lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo (sometimes banana peppers) with oil and vinegar on the side.

The sandwich is huge—seriously, you can eat just a quarter of it and feel completely satisfied. They use fresh ingredients and aren’t stingy with the cold cuts. The combination of the meats, veggie toppings, mayo, and the finishing touch of oil and vinegar is just perfect. And if you hit the beach for a swim before eating, it makes the meal even better—nothing beats that first bite after burning some energy in the water.

This is the perfect meal for your beach trip, just make sure you ask them to cut the whole sub into 4’s (4 pieces), it’s just easier to eat and put away.

I highly recommend getting the Italian sub at Jerry’s Pizza & Subs.
