I was randomly searching burger spots on Yelp when I somehow found Rony’s Rockin’ Grill; the high ratings first caught my attention. I checked to see what the place was about, and the pictures of their burgers immediately hooked me. Not only did the food look delicious, it looked pretty big, and there was a variety of different types of burgers. I marked this place down as a cheat-day must-try and was finally able to check it out with my friend.

Once I entered, I noticed a lot of music and artist-themed décor and a bar/diner-like counter. Old-school rock music was playing in the background, matching the music-themed décor. The floor was also carpeted—I know it’s random, but that’s what I noticed! I placed my order and sat down at one of the open tables.
I ended up getting the Police Combo ($17.50) with Onion Rings ($4.00). The combo originally comes with fries and a can of soda. I upgraded to the onion rings because I wanted to try them out, plus my friend got fries with his combo.

The Police is a burger melt (Texas toast with pepper jack cheese) featuring woven-layered bacon (“criminal amounts of bacon” per the menu description) and grilled onions. This was so juicy with every bite; it was dripping with all the goodness. This is definitely cheat-day meal-worthy. The onion rings gave a nice crunch to every bite of the burger.

I also got my usual sauces: BBQ and honey mustard. I really liked the honey mustard sauce.

My friend got the Bacon Cheeseburger with American cheese and raw onions. He enjoyed his burger, and it looked a lot ‘healthier’ than what I got! He enjoyed his meal as well.

Rony’s Rockin’ Grill has a variety of other menu items, from Hound Dogs (grilled or deep-fried) to shakes to choose from. I will be back to try other burgers, and I highly recommend Rony’s Rockin’ Grill if you are in the mood for delicious burgers.

On my second visit, I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. This time, I went with the Rockin’ Cowboy combo ($18.95). It features a burger topped with bacon, onion rings, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, and their signature ‘Rock Sauce.’ All combos also come with fries and a can of soda.

The burger was super juicy, and the Rock Sauce had a nice kick to it without being too spicy. I made sure to pair every bite with fries dipped in their honey mustard, which was just as good as I remembered from my last trip.

One thing I noticed was the bun; it had more of a roll-like texture, which makes sense because you need something sturdy to hold all those toppings together. The burger itself was massive—I’m not sure how anyone finishes a double patty version in one sitting!
I also had a brief moment to chat with Rony, the owner and cook. I asked what his favorite burger was, and he pointed me toward “Daisy’s Rockin’ Burger,” which comes topped with Rock Sauce, avocado, bacon, and cheddar cheese. I’m already planning my next trip back to give that one a try.
