I stumbled upon The Pasta Shop while I was looking for Italian restaurants near the train station I would take to work. When I found it, its rating was really high, along with the amount of reviews. What really caught my attention was that it served fresh pasta.

This is a first-come, first-served sit-down spot. I will say, I have been turned away for coming at 5 PM on a Friday because they were fully booked. The time I was able to get seated, I had to wait about 45 minutes, but there are a lot of stores around the area, so you can just walk around, window shop, or get coffee/tea.

The place is unique: on one side, the food is being made and prepped, and on the other side, that’s where people are dining. Sit-down tables are limited.

I started off with complimentary Parmesan cheese—just a small block to taste. For the antipasti, I got the Burrata Mozzarella ($13), which consisted of a ball of mozzarella with a bed of heirloom tomatoes, balsamic, and toasted bread. It was fresh and refreshing—definitely a great way to start my meal.

For my main course, I got the Chicken Parmigiana, which comes with garlic linguine and red sauce. This was so good! I really like how the garlic linguine complimented the red sauce that was underneath the chicken parmigiana. This meal was awesome, and with every bite of the chicken, I had to have a bite of the linguine.

I also tried the Pappardelle Bolognese pasta dish, which was also solid. The pasta was fresh, and I just really enjoyed the taste.

I will be back to try out other dishes there, and I highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for pasta!
