Ike Milano is my noona’s, the Korean word for an older sister or an older female friend, favorite Italian spot. My noona lives in Argentina and is a longtime resident, so I was excited when she mentioned we would be going there for dinner. We went around 8 PM, and we were lucky there was a table available for us without making reservations.

The place is pretty bright and has a lot of very interesting artwork and decor.

We started off with fried calamari, which was portioned out individually by our server. I never had fried calamari served this way, which was very interesting. The calamari was very tasty and fresh.

For my main, I wanted some sort of pasta and got this tomato-based ravioli. The presentation was neat, and the piece of toasted or fried parmesan was a nice touch on top of the dish. Our waiter also poured parmesan cheese on our plates, and they were not shy on the amount they gave us.

Overall, I really enjoyed dinner with the family at Ike Milano, and I could see why this place is one of my noona’s favorite restaurants. I highly recommend Ike Milano if you want tasty Italian food.
