When I visited Nashville, I did a bunch of research on BBQ places via Google, Yelp and YouTube. I somehow stumbled upon Shotgun and when I saw the pictures of the BRISKET, I knew I found the BBQ place I had to try out at.

The place is located in a strip mall type of place and the parking is plenty. It felt like this was the only store in this strip mall vibe place.

Once you enter, you will see a lot of random Texas theme/vibe items on the wall leading to the order station. You could tell this person was from Texas, put it that way. What gave it away was the Houston Rockets team figurine, during the Hakeem Olajuwon era and a Buc-ee’s doll.

You place your order at the window where the staff member cuts the meat right in front of you. I ordered the brisket, because that’s what I came here for and it was amazing just how the meat looked (PAUSE), like you can see the juice flowing down with every cut.
After you pay at the register and pick a table to eat at (first come, first serve) on the dining area. The place is bright with a lot of natural light.

For my sides, I got the mac and cheese, and cole slaw. Not gonna lie, I remember it being good but I mostly only remember the BRISKET.

The brisket had a nice smokey taste to it and it was so moist and tender. I tried another popular BBQ spot in Nashville near Broadway and it does not even compare or come close. I would say skip the other spots and just come here, specifically for the brisket.
