When I researched “must-eat” spots in Houston, Texas, I noticed people mentioning Shipley Do-Nuts constantly on YouTube and Reddit. The consensus was clear: the fresh glazed donut is a must. Since there were a couple of locations conveniently near my Airbnb, I had to make my way over there to see what the hype was about.
My first bite of a glazed donut was incredible—it was warm and had the perfect amount of glaze, making it sweet without being overpowering. I enjoyed it so much that I had to visit one more time before leaving Houston. On my last day, I grabbed a glazed, a blueberry, and a Bavarian-filled donut. They were all delicious, but the original glazed is still the undisputed champion.
