I randomly stumbled upon Senatore Sandwiches while browsing Yelp for burger spots. I saw the high reviews and pictures and already knew I had to try this place out, so I bookmarked it on Yelp. It had been sitting on my list for months before I finally found an opportunity to stop by.
The place is located in a very towny area with lots of nature around it — definitely not your typical city setting. I really liked the small-town vibe. My GPS led me to a parking lot that actually had a “Do Not Enter” sign leading into Senatore Sandwiches’ parking lot. I probably could have just broken the law, but I’m a law-abiding citizen, so I parked in the back lot instead. No biggie.
Once I walked in, the place was filled with natural light, making it feel bright and welcoming. There were also lots of vintage games and toys, which I was really digging. It brought back a lot of memories. They even had an NFL Blitz arcade machine… which unfortunately was broken 🙁
I also spotted Macho Man Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan toys that I actually owned when I was younger — crazy… over 30 years ago! I did ask if they were willing to sell them, but as expected, they said, “Sorry, not for sale.” Of course, I probably wouldn’t sell them either.

I ended up ordering the Senatore Steak (Full – 10 oz), which comes with American cheese, onions, and poblano peppers on a sesame seed hero. After placing my order, I looked around a bit more and noticed they also have outdoor seating with views of the street and surrounding nature. Very nice and chill.

When my order arrived, I was excited, and the reveal was very satisfying. The cheese was fully mixed in with the ribeye steak and veggies. My first bite had a nostalgic flavor to it, and it was really good. I could tell the quality of the ribeye was excellent, and every bite was consistent since all the ingredients were blended together evenly. I told myself I would only eat half… but I ended up finishing the whole thing.

I will say, the sandwich isn’t the biggest in size, but I understand — a fresh, made-to-order cheesesteak with quality ingredients isn’t cheap. Still, it was absolutely worth the trip.
I’ll definitely be back to try the Italian cheesesteak and burgers, which looked amazing in the photos. If you’re in the area, Senatore Sandwiches is definitely worth a stop. I think the owner’s nickname is “Senatore Sangweech”… but don’t quote me on that.
